Good luck - at least you don’t have to take a test!

You just get to buy some expensive metal (possibly including tax), and pay the government for the privilege of insuring it, driving it, and for the fuel to make it go.

It would, although trying to afford it if it ever existed might counter that cheer. It’s surely only a matter of time before Apple produce something like this - the iPod touch is like a tiny version, and a tablet has been rumoured for years.

I reckon they’d go the same route as my Air though, and scrap the internal DVD drive entirely.

Damn, you’re right. However, I am foiled - just had a look at tickets for the London show and it looks like it’s sold out. I never had a chance to see Nickel Creek when they were playing over here either.

Heh - a hundred years ago the average 7-year-old (girl, obviously - blokes didn’t knit socks) could make a pair - and they’d fit.

Now, you have machine-made garbage that falls apart, beyond the salvage capabilities of a wartime granny, within minutes.

I’d offer to make you a pair of Keira Knightly socks, but I suspect that the pixellation effect would mean you wouldn’t appreciate them!

Or, alternatively, you and Paxo need to mount a campaign to pressure all high-street stores to use decent elastic!
